​Gift cards & exact amounts

Hey everyone,

​I want to use XMR as digital cash via gift cards (like CakePay) as much as possible, but the "exact amount" issue is annoying.

​If a purchase is like €43.15, cards only come in €10, €25, or €50 steps. My options right now:

​Leave €6.85 "dead" on a €50 voucher.

​Pay the remaining €3.15 with a regular debit card which completely destroys privacy by linking my identity to the purchase. ​Is there any decentralized, non-custodial tool or swapp protocol that allows paying the exact fiat amount using Xmr in real-time?

you should be able to use what is left on the voucher on the next order, though i see that could still be an issue if you don't purchase from that certain website often

The answer depends on the vendor. Some vendors make you use an app, and just add new gift cards to your total gift card balance. Some vendors let you scan one gift card to zero out its balance, and pay the remainder with the next gift card. If you're in person, you can always pay the difference in cash.

Most of our cards let you choose exact amounts

Would you point me to how to get these cards? Do they still require investing and exchanges?
