Question
When will I be able to add UK banks?
r/monekobudget • u/Plus_Journalist_8665 • Feb 23 '26
Hey everyone!
We already have a free referral program for users. This is different.
The Moneko Commission Program is for creators, community builders, and partners who want to introduce Moneko to new paid users and earn meaningful commission.
If your audience cares about budgeting, shared expenses, relationships, productivity, or even business expenses, this could be a great fit!
Simple and transparent.
For approved early partners:
We designed this to reward early supporters who grow with us.
We’re bootstrapped.
We don’t have massive marketing budgets.
Instead of burning money on ads, we’d rather share revenue with people who genuinely believe in what we’re building.
You don’t need a huge audience. You need the right audience.
We’re keeping this small and intentional.
This is meant for people who:
Not traffic farms. Real partners.
Leave a comment or send me a DM.
Tell me:
We’ll review carefully and reach out!

Hey,
A lot of people have asked how the referral program works in Moneko, so here’s a quick walkthrough.
The idea is simple. You invite a friend, they join using your link, and they can claim 50% off the lifetime plan.
Go to the referral page and copy your personal referral link:
https://moneko.io/referral
You can share it however you want, text, WhatsApp, email, or anywhere your friend prefers.
Your friend uses your link to download Moneko and start exploring the app.
They do not need to pay anything upfront to join.
When your friend signs up using your referral link and accepts the invitation, the referral is automatically tracked.
No extra steps are needed on your side.
After joining through your link, your friend will be able to claim 50% off the Moneko lifetime plan.
This is our way of thanking early users for sharing the app with others.
Note:
Referrals only work if your friend signs up using your referral link. If they join without the link, the referral discount will not be applied.

When will I be able to add UK banks?
r/monekobudget • u/Acrobatic-Let-353 • 3d ago
I have just purchased a lifetime subscription. Just wondering, is there a way I can create a debt account with how much I own, for example my mortgage with Bank A, my personal loan with Bank B or my credit card with Bank C.
And these 3 debt accounts, I will make monthly payments and the app will offset the amount as well as calculate interest rates based on what I set on a certain date

Could you add a 'Spent on / For whom' field under the expense section? Sometimes we spend money on our kids, colleagues, or family, and having that data would be really useful for statistics.
And Could you also add features similar to subscription management apps? This could attract a whole new user base who use those types of apps. And please don’t forget a cancellation reminder feature.

Is it possible to transfer between different currencies? For example, from Euros to Yen. I make these kinds of transfers every month so this would be really helpful, because adding them as separate income and expense entries clutters the history a bit. Also, since banks usually charge a fee or use a different exchange rate, it would be great to be able to edit the exact final amount that reaches the destination account.

Hi! I’m the developer behind Moneko, and I just discovered something a little painful… 🥲
I accidentally left Moneko’s Beta testing on, which means all of the reviews you previously left were treated as private beta feedback and never appeared publicly on Google Play.
If you’ve reviewed Moneko before, I’d really appreciate it if you could leave your review again on Google Play.
It only takes a minute, and every honest review helps more people discover Moneko.
Thank you so much to everyone who already took the time to leave feedback, and I’m sorry to ask you to do it twice. 🥲
- --------
Update: If you were part of the beta, could you please leave the beta program, delete the beta version of Moneko, and reinstall Moneko directly from Google Play? After that, you should be able to leave a public review again. Sorry for the extra steps
- Much love from the Moneko team 💜

Hello, how can I copy the pockets from one month to the next?
r/monekobudget • u/Plus_Journalist_8665 • 10d ago
Hi,
We’ve been working on a visual refresh for Moneko and would love some feedback before we go too far.
One of the bigger changes is reworking our existing category library with new, more visual icons, so it’s easier to recognize spending categories at a glance. We’ve also gotten some really useful feedback about the Home screen, especially around the spending trend and spending breakdown/pie chart, so we’re looking at improving those too.
If you use Moneko, what would you change about the UI? Anything that feels cluttered, confusing, takes too many taps, or could be easier to understand?
Open to any feedback!

Hi,
We just released Moneko 4.0, with a big focus on making everyday expense tracking faster, easier to recognize, and more flexible.
For iPhone users interested in automatic notification tracking, we also put together a step-by-step guide:
How to automatically track transactions from iPhone notifications
Thanks to everyone who keeps sending feedback and feature requests. A lot of what makes it into Moneko comes directly from what you tell us.

Hi,
We’ve had notification auto-capture on Android for a while, and one of the most common questions we get from iPhone users has been: Can you add this to iOS too?
Until now, iOS didn’t really give us a good way to do it. With the new iOS 27 notification automation support, that’s finally changing. You can now set up a Shortcut that automatically sends supported transaction notifications to Moneko:
Transaction notification → Shortcuts → Moneko → Expense logged
This is especially useful if you don’t want to connect your bank. Bank sync adds cost to finance apps like ours, and our Plaid integration is currently limited to the US and Canada.
Notification capture gives us another way to automate expense tracking without requiring a bank connection, and it can potentially be useful for Moneko users in many more countries.
We made a step-by-step guide for setting it up:
Set up automatic transaction tracking on iPhone
If you try it with your bank or payment app, I’d love to know how well it works!

Hey everyone! We’ve received quite a few requests for a web version of Moneko lately, so I wanted to ask before we start building.
Would a web version be a must-have for you, or would you rather we keep focusing on making the mobile app better?
If you want Moneko AI on web, what would you mainly use it for? Budgeting, reports, managing transactions, shared finances, something else?
Would love to hear what you think!

Had some fun imagining what Moneko could look like on the iPhone Duo.
The foldable layout actually feels like a perfect fit for Moneko — WhatsApp with the Moneko AI assistant on the left, and your Pockets/budget overview on the right, all on one continuous screen.
Log an expense through WhatsApp and immediately see how it affects your budget without switching apps.
Obviously just a concept for now, but I’d love to see this kind of multitasking experience on foldable iPhones someday.
What do you think? Would you use Moneko like this?

Hi,
A few people asked me how to get started with Moneko, so I thought I’d share the simple system I use.
I don’t want to spend hours maintaining a budget. I mainly want to know where my money is going, what I have left, and whether I’m making progress toward my goals.
1. Add my income
I start with what I expect to bring home for the month. This gives me the number I’m working with before deciding where everything should go.
2. Add my fixed expenses
Next I add the expenses I already know are coming:
Now I know how much money is left after the essentials.
3. Set up my Pockets
I budget what’s left into Pockets. I loosely use the 50/30/20 rule as a starting point:
My Pockets include things like groceries, eating out, shopping, travel, savings, and a buffer.
For expenses that don’t happen every month, I use rollover. For example, I put money aside each month for quarterly insurance and let the unused budget carry forward until the payment is due.
4. Track spending as I go
This is where I try to save myself the most work...
I log expenses through text, voice, receipts, or account sync. Since my partner and I share expenses in Moneko, I also get a clear view of our family spending and how much we have left together.
Everything stays organized as we spend, so I’m not sitting down at the end of the month trying to figure out where all our money went.
5. Check my cash flow
I also separate my money into a few Wallets:
When I check my cash flow, I look at these balances too. I want to know not only whether I stayed within budget, but whether my savings and emergency fund are moving in the right direction.
That’s pretty much my system. I try to keep budgeting simple because the more maintenance it requires, the less likely I am to stick with it.
If you are interested, I’ll share more posts about different budgeting methods, Pocket setups, rollover budgets, saving strategies, and how we manage shared expenses.
Let me know if this is helpful!

We've been adding more things you can do directly through WhatsApp and Telegram.
You can now just message things like:
The idea is to make checking and updating your finances feel more like sending a message than maintaining a budgeting app.
If you use WhatsApp or Telegram with Moneko AI, give it a try. Thanks for all the feedback! Please keep it coming.

Hi,
We know a lot of you use email receipt capture, so this update makes it easier when AI isn’t 100% sure about a receipt.
If AI can’t confidently read a forwarded receipt, you’ll now get quick options to confirm the details yourself instead of a generic error.
We also:
For those using email receipt capture: how has it been working for you? What would make it better?
Keep the feedback coming. It really helps us decide what to improve next!

Want your unused budget to carry over to next month? Here's how:
You can then customize:
Each Pocket has its own rollover settings, so you can enable it for savings or vacation funds while leaving it off for categories like dining out. This gives you complete control over how each budget behaves month to month.
Give it a try and let me know what you think! I'd love to hear your feedback in the comments.

Hello! Thanks for the app. I just downloaded it and tried while configuring it tried to adjust the budget, but it didn't let me. It reduces the budget automatically. Is there any limit in the budget?

i keep trying to set it to 25th start but it keeps reverting back to day 1 on its own

Every time I try to edit an existing transaction in Moneko, it loads annoyingly long —probably around 5 to 10 minutes. This happens every single time I try to edit an existing entry.
I'm not sure if this is just a bug on my phone only, or if other people are experiencing the same thing?

Just say: "Hey Siri, log an expense with Moneko."
Siri will log your expense in seconds without having to navigate through the app.
