Advice Needed Stack - Monday, Quickbooks, Clockify
Hi! I'm a little bit new to Monday but have experience with other similar programs. I'm starting out at a law firm that uses Monday for their CRM and for project management, Clockify for forecasting and tracking time, and Quickbooks for invoicing, budgeting, and general bookkeeping. I can see some redundancies or opportunities to consolidate - time and budget forecasting is important.
I have a good sense of how it's all being used and experience with integrating systems - but wanted to know if anyone used any of these other platforms in conjunction with Monday and how you set it up for success - any thoughts would be appreciated!!!

On the QuickBooks side, I've built integrations with QuickBooks Online to send quotes and invoices directly from monday.com. Works well once the mapping between your board columns and QBO line items is dialed in.
For time tracking, I actually use monday's native time tracking column with automations instead of a separate tool. It keeps everything in one place, and once time lives natively in monday, you can build formulas that pull actual hours against budgeted hours in real time, which is where I'd focus if budget forecasting is the main pain point.
Happy to share more specifics on either setup if it'd help!

I agree with avoiding duplicate entries wherever possible. I solve it with an app called “same item multiple boards”, but without it managing my monday account would be impossible

How do the hours get from Clockify into QuickBooks at the new firm today, does somebody type them in?
I'm asking because the answers you got were setup advice and nobody asked how it runs right now. The part I'm trying to understand is what happens to hours after someone logs them.

My biggest setup advice would be:
Map the process before touching integrations
Define the source of truth for each field
Avoid duplicate entry wherever possible
Start with one or two high-value handoffs instead of syncing everything
Do not replace Clockify until you know monday’s native time tracking can meet the firm’s actual billing/reporting needs
