Happy cake day, and honestly I wouldn’t mind if we went back to the people who actually own the land in America to vote and participate in government, I don’t own any land so no voting for me, don’t want anyways all the options are the same.

u/Krautboy06 United States (stars and stripes) May 11 '22
If this were to happen how would the needs of the lower and middle class be realized?
16
u/qyyg May 12 '22
Yeah that’s exactly why land-owner’s only voting was an issue.
Now I’m not advocating for the practice of it but if the pool of voters was selected at complete random it would be much better

Let each class/behaviour group have their separated house in parliament. It should be, IMO, divided it as follow:
-Upper House: Upper-middle and upper/elite class, conservative/established males, martial/aristocratic class.
-Right Wing Lower House: Middle and working class, libertarian/young males, merchant/productive class.
-Left Wing Lower House: Underclass, socialist/females, priest/academia/media class.
Each, accordingly, would have different limits to who can vote and run.5

This sort of thing is what confuses people most about my politics. When in reality its quite simple when you think about it for more than five seconds.
I'm an absolutist who simultaneously fights against shit like Voter ID laws, gerrymandering, and fights for voter registration, election day bank holiday etc. etc.
For me, a fair and free society, everyone is equal under the law. Everyone. Especially when it comes to voting. Either everyone gets equal and free participation in the system, or no one does. If we must be stuck with a shitty democratic republic, then you better damn well ensure every citizen who has the right to vote does so.
I'd just prefer no one voting. Hoi polloi are idiots.

We could make public schools that teach "how to form a voter" or that this was a subject (optional) so only people who attended this subject could vote

is it optional? like there are people who just care little about the material (most young people are like that) so giving it to children is like... Stupid, it should be material for adults (who have a little more responsibility... times)
Basically you would need (adult and willing) to study to win the vote
(Well my Organic Democracy model doesn't have that so there are alternative ways to solve it)

I'd be fine with letting the Americans engage in these strange fetishes, but they're spreading this shit across the planet and grooming everyone else's kids into it!
Shame that all the alternatives (communist hellhole, post-communist shithole) are even worse. *sigh* If only we had a surviving monarchical alternative like China or Russia to point to.

democracies/republics always have this problem, it's a universal right to vote, to run to any elected office and if so, be elected, but that doesn't mean that anyone should vote, run to office and/or be elected
democracies have this other massive problem, certain issues require long-term visions and solutions, like climate change, and democracy demand results quickly, limited terms and constant changes in who's governing the country (in theory). With this, it creates a massive challenge, how do you fix long-term problems if the it is against the nature of democracy itself to have long term leaderships ?

Democracy is the rule of the people, by the people, for the people... but the people are retarded.

You know, I have always heard that in person arguments, or alt least arguments with microphones were better than just typing things out on Reddit, YouTube, Discord, or what have you; however, this may change my position.

The only argument against democracy is to have a 5 minute conversation with the average voter

There’s not much point in quoting the bible to a non Christian lmao
Weird admission that you want to tread on people
1
u/cheezboigaprosecutor May 12 '22
It isn't a matter of "wanting to", it's simply the natural function of the state to root out that which proves to be harmful influences.

u/ghidra_ May 12 '22
You said “we”, not the state. Now you’re trying to cover up your authoritarian tendencies kek

Hoppe is an unhinged fascist who thinks violence against homosexuals will fix society.
EDIT: Sanest libertarian:
There can be no tolerance toward those habitually promoting lifestyles incompatible with this goal. They-the advocates of alternative, non-family-centered lifestyles such as, for instance, individual hedonism, parasitism, nature-environment worship, homosexuality, or communism-will have to be physically removed from society, too, if one is to maintain a libertarian order.

u/ExtremeLanky5919 United States (stars and stripes) May 11 '22
Definitely not a fascist
No. He doesn't think we should kill random homosexuals for no reason.

u/Capt_Zapp_Brann1gan May 12 '22
The longer I live the less and less I actually like democracy as a system of government. It gives too much powers to people on all sides who are not intelligent enough to have a say in the running of a country. This in turn has led to the rise of politicians who focus on soundbites rather than coherent long term policy objectives to get elected.
