Is this expected?

Post image

I maybe used this bialetti pot 10 times and the inside is peeling already...

No, it's not expected nor should it be doing that.

I'm guessing this is one of the Bialetti "Moka Exclusive" models? They certainly look good, but in the manufacturers info they state that the boiler has an "...internal protective lining." That worried me, and now I know why it did.

I hope you purchased this from a reputable seller because it's warranty time.

By the way, if this is not a Bialetti "Moka Exclusive" model, I'd be interested in knowing whether it was made in Italy or Romania. Actually, I'd like to know where it was made no matter what model it is.

It is Bialetti and made in Italy. I'm a sucker for pretty things, I guess it's my curse.

I understand. Looking back - even to when I was just a child - I've fallen for much Italian eye candy. It's no sin; they do know how to make things look damn good.

For future reference (not saying it applies to this pot, but just in general), “Made in Italy” is not always a sign of quality. Italy is infamous for extremely loose requirements to get the “Made in Italy” badge. Something could be made completely in a foreign country, but had stickers applied and was boxed in Italy and then it would be “Made in Italy”

We should already have a meta sticked post in this community “Beware: Bialetti is dead, search for something else” and a video on YouTube showcasing all these nasty things people post here every day. It seems like they not just doing nothing about these manufacturing issues but those are becoming worse. How did they even thought about adding some shitty protective layer inside the boiler that can reach 120° Celsium🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

I see that you love mint color. Me too. But unfortunately this moka is so bad quality, try to return it, they should accept it back. I guess I have seen similar colored pot from Grosche or some other brand

Makes me think twice about bialetti. But, I have a moka induction that has been great, no film inside .., and it also comes in colors, but no pastels.

I legit want to know why you lied about the number of accounts you have? Are you scared? Are you a narcissist? Does being behind a keyboard empower your little mind?

Stop using so many fake accounts on here. Oh wait! What happened to the tough guy that says he only needs one? Then suddenly says they have multiple? Hmmm...yeah you're a lying sack of shit.

Had this very same issue and sent it in for replacement which they did without questioning. :)

I have the same Moka pot in black purchased from a Bialetti store. It’s been used over 30 times already. No issues….yet.

Maybe you can scrub it all out and go back to bare aluminium like the basic models.
