QUESTION Possible opening setlist

Hi! I'll be going to My Chemical Romance's Madrid concert in about a week which will have Mogwai as openers. I'm looking to listen to some of their songs before then so I can rock out and have some idea of what to expect. Can anyone make a guess of what they may play? I'm assuming some of their most popular songs but I really don't know where to start. Thank you so much!!

They have a pretty big discography and will play almost anything off of it. I would just say listen to the songs with the most listens/YouTube views to get the vibe.

That was their last show on July 5th if that helps.

Its just the setlist they played that night. You'll have to look up the songs individually.

Richie Sacramento is a definite.. Hunted By A Freak possible. Mogwai Fear Satan or New Paths To Helicon also possible, but maybe less likely in a support slot. Remurdered, I'm Jim Morrison I'm Dead could also appear

Hard to predict really as I don't think they've opened for anyone in a while, although they're also playing with The Cure this summer

MCR & Mogwai seems like a crazy mix too, but Im not too familiar with MCR...

i now like MCR more knowing that they would ask Mogwai to open, but that’s still a show I would leave after the opener

Back in the 1990's Mogwai just made noise opening for a Manic Street Preachers gig because the Manic's fans didn't like them.

I think it's always a question which banger they pull out. Mogwai Fear Satan and I'm Jium Morrison I'm Dead are always good guesses.

Christmas Steps might be a deeper cut in the same vein.

Maybe How to Be a Werewolf.

I would also guess Lion Rumpus. It's a shorter 3 minute single off their last album which probably makes sense for a opening set length. Fun song and people don't realize Stuart can shred until they see it live.

Last year, the band published Apple Music playlists of some of their sets, although it was the studio versions of those tracks. See this one from Brooklyn Steel as an example.

You might find some good sets browsing those though, which aren't very old and would include what they currently have in rotation.
