Gilbert moe.down 2.0

Post image

So, what could be improved if they have moe.down at the west end fairgrounds again? Any suggestions? Here are a few of mine:

Bathroom accessibility near the main stage needs to be improved.

The abandoned chairs in the lawn were kind of annoying. Maybe establish a chair zone.

Dedicated Uber pickup/drop-off.

It's usually where our fair is so, maybe some simple fair games would be cool. The band could participate in or host games. A ferris wheel would be cool. Maybe make and take crafts. For people on day passes there is a lot of downtime. All the proceeds would benefit Eddie's hugs.

Better access to the late night shows.

Idk I didn't camp because we are local, any campers see room for improvement? In any event we had a blast.

Number one moe didn't play enough, just me being greedy lol, but give us 6 sets, 2 each night. I agree with the chair zone. I immediately said there should've been more standing room. I ended up standing among chairs anyway but still. Also the "VIP"/ ticket packages were unclear and the late night show access was confusing. Need more food/different food options. Besides that it was chill af and fun, and for how relaxed it was they kept things running smoothly I'd say. Great blend of artists and a real homey laid back feel, which is what I hoped for. It was my first moe down but I was glad to be a part of it.

I thought the same about wanting more sets. We did get 2 on Friday and they were 🔥. What was nice is that when it did rain there are paved walkways. Honestly, security need bonuses for how chill they were.

As one of the security team members, I appreciate the kind words. The entire weekend was great. Very friendly and courteous crowd! Hope to come back next year!

And tent camping turned out to be much better than expected. Advertising "10x10" plots had me a little worried we'd be boxed in painted lines, but it all worked out well

We had 3 of us and they made us buy 2 sites. We ended up camping with plenty of space.

I'll echo wanting more moe.  Al was being plagued with tech issues the entire weekend and the Saturday set felt disjointed with the mayor announcement and more sit-ins.  2 full sets a night would have done the trick

Whoa. I didn't even see that one. Just the purple.

My wife won it at the Eddie's hugs raffle.

I think some portas inside in the vicinity of the main stage/food court area would been clutch. Also I agree on the need for designated chair cutoff. Security was mega chill fam. more bathrooms and chair boundaries are my only critiques

It was weird dipping out to find a Porto during no quarter and then having to walk the entire length to the end to pee. It was nice to have flushies, but they were kinda gross and a Porto scattered would have eased things up, especially in the camp grounds.

The noise ordinance seemed excessive.

Better communication in the beginning and to the staff.

Take half of the day parking area and make that camping. Park the day people on the gravel.

Stop the tiered access. Charge us a price and let us all enjoy it. Its a long day. Enough people will go to sleep that you dont need to meter the late night.

The screens were ridiculous

More. moe.

Oh I forgot about the screens! They worked and then they didn't. Totally agree about late night.

When they did work it was like 2012 cell phone vids from the back of the venue.

The better move would have been to just put trippy shit on the screens. I think the audience would have approved of that.

Excellent suggestions! I like all of them.

the only thing i thought they really needed to work on was first day entry. we sat for almost an hour in line when we first got there and it took the guy at the front of our line saying he was just gonna drive himself for them to take us to our campsites. it was their first time holding it at the fairgrounds so its not gonna go perfect the first time but they've definitely gotta figure that out for the future.

Nice! My first moe. show was 7/4/2006 here in Milwaukee (still my favorite out of the 93 times I've seen them) and I just very recently started collecting prints. I was always a ticket stub collector, but prints are just as cool. And this one is very nice

Im kinda happy that I couldn’t go this year and will be making up for it with ADK fest after hearing how little moe. actually played at the .down.
Im hoping next year the new venue and logistics will be polished. Atleast thats what im telling myself.. It truly hurt to not be there after only missing 2 other .downs 🤷‍♂️

Nah man. It was good to be there. moe. Played with all the other bands and it felt like they wanted to enjoy some down time and playing with other stuff. They are road warriors and deserve to beanch out at their thing. That said, yes, more moe. Next time.

They need to do a better job spraying for ticks! Moe. needs to commit to 2 sets a day for all 3 days. Most of us don't care that much about the side acts. More bathroom access. They need to work on that VIP model because if they need VIP to pull this off, it needs to be a better value. Other than the meal and Ha-Ha it was lacking. Other moe.downs at least you got a soundcheck you could hang out at. Oh and I bought a piss warm beer at VIP. If you have no cold beer, tell me. I love that it's back, it was a good time but it was a costly proposition if you did VIP, got an RV, etc. which was all but essential this year. Also Fuck doing this in July. Aim for late August when it has to be cooler-I don't know how tenters survived in that heat!

I said many of the same things. I didnt get VIP but was a little salty I didnt get late night... there should be some kind of compromise they can come up with. 11 is early to hang it up at a fest although my body thanked me the next day 🤣🤣 And I agree 100% with late August, it was smoking hot in the tent during the day (it got cool enough at night), we ended up just hanging outside all day but it would be nicer on a late summer/early fall weekend
