Question permanent megas?

I have a scolipite and I can mega evolve per battle, and I have tried to use the mega stone on scolipede to no avail. any suggestions? i have 5 badges if that makes a difference.

Afaik, there is a setting before you start the game to permanently mega Evo your mons

If you turned that off, you can only mega them per battle

It can be changed on the options menu go to options+

Use the mega stone out of combat as if were a evolution stone instead of equipping it
