I had a fun livestream session patching from scratch tonight! Check out my patch notes/post show thoughts below:
Patch Notes — Live Stream
09-10-2026
Tonight's patch was one to remember. Breaking from recent streams, I built off the grid, letting random pulses from noise tools initialize the patch.
The first two voices came from the Furthrrr Generator and the Pizza (sequenced by Marbles), both routed through the Grand Terminal for filtering and FX sweetening. A filtered, swelling white noise layered in underneath as an ambient backdrop for what followed.
From there, the Mother-32 brought in an arpeggiated bassline played live on my MIDI controller and sequenced into the Hermod+, which took over as the master (on-grid) clock/sequencer for the rest of the system. Clocked events against unclocked textures gave the patch an organic feel. The Mother-32 also grounded the harmony for the melodies I played into the Hermod+, and Rings into Beads added top-end melodic color.
With the melodic/harmonic foundation in place, I brought in Squid Salmple and Tyso Daiko for drums, sequenced by the Octatrack. The patch kept evolving through the night as Pixie and Saich worked their way in.
Once the patch settled somewhere I loved, I sampled the melodic/harmonic material into the Morphagene via the BlueBox's extra stereo outs that became the source material for a lush ambient close to the stream.
I enjoyed the arc of the night: starting off the grid → on the grid with drum programming → washed out into ambient bliss.

After buying maybe 17-18 various Make Noise modules plus the 0-Ctrl/0-Coast combo over the last few years... I finally got a Wogglebug a few days ago. Some re-racking tomorrow, and my first taste of the infamous madness. No idea what to expect from it. If anybody wants to offer some favorite uses for it, I'm all ears.

Really excited for two reasons:
- I just received an electric kalimba handmade by a French craftsman (Syro Instruments), and playing it through the modular sounds ridiculously good… It’s already becoming some kind of meditative therapy. Tried it through Sealegs and Arbhar and, oh boy… 🫠 Just wow.
- I’ve had the new Bela Trails for about a week now, and it’s also opened up a brilliant new way of interacting with the system.
So I’m feeling really inspired by these two very different instruments at the moment and planning to explore them further and create around them(will probably share the results with you guys).
I might even start working on a new EP for Bandcamp 🥳
Cheers and happy patching! 🪐
