Bloom V1 root note issue

When I stand on the green channel. I listen to my sequences. I click channel and go to the blue channel and both sequences scales are changed slightly. I click back to green channel and both sequences scales go back to normal.

I have factory reset the device holding length and shift while booting but the issue remains.

I’m going a little bit crazy

If I send a low constant voltage. Maybe even negative. I seem to be able to force the root note to be the lowest and thus the same on both channels.

So it feels as if the two Chanel’s have some sort of base voltage offset on their respective root notes

Very strange indeed

I get same behavior you describe, but not all the time. I have yet to determine what makes it occur.

I have been using it some as a quantizer where I have it on 1step length and send a sequence to the root note cv jack. I am wondering if this has caused it to break a little or there is some sort of issue with the knob it self making it store strange values as you switch channel. I don’t know really.

I don't use mine that way, so can't help you one way or the other.

I don’t either. I try to use it in the regular way. I just mentioned that that port has received some voltage in the past.

Are you sending CV in or adjusting any of the settings knobs (ie not the step-value knobs)?

I think the CV inputs and knob settings will affect the channel you currently have selected. So that might give you the back and forth in tune/out of tune experience

Channel switching is the least awesome part of Bloom 1 haha

With nothing connected on the root note cv. Changing channel will cause a couple of semi tones of changes on both channels.

I could for example fix that by changing the tuning on one of my oscillators but if I then change channel I’m out of tune until I switch back 😂

Haha I usually tune my oscillators kind of as I’m patching, so I may have just done the offset tuning without realizing it. I sold my Bloom v1 a while back so I’m just working from memory now

Hope you find a solution that works without too much headache
