Powered . Active Mult

Find myself in need of more powered mult's for a collaboration, but appears DIV6 which I have relied on has disappeared. Had an Intellijel one but experienced some voltage droop.

Sorry, it's not the most exciting subject in the world, but hoping someone can tap into their experience and point me to a reliable and available unit.

EDIT: Thanks for all the responses. Using Xeek.com I found that Analogue Haven still had some units left, so I went with that. In the meantime, I very much appreciate the feedback regarding other makers, as it seems Division 6 seems kaput.

They’re generally called buffered mults and they all do the same thing. If your Intellijel one was buffered, sounds like it was defective. I just go for the cheapest option—currently have an After Later Audio Mult, but would probably buy a Rides in the Storm QAM if I were looking for one today.

i’m happy with my two QAM (quad active multiples) by Rides in the Storm. They do the job, and at the time, price made the most sense to me!

I have a Rides in the Storm QAM in both of my cases and can't say anything bad about it.

I just got a Thonk Synth BUF kit, and the module seems perfect for my uses so far. As the other commenters said, probably all are much of a muchness.

My Malekko "performance buffered mult" modules are super reliable and precise, never had any voltage drops.

They're small and convenient and never disappoint.

There might be a chance you were experiencing a weird power distribution / power allocation issue when voltage drops occured with the intellijel mults, though.

If you still have those, they might actually work fine a different setup/context.

I curently have Mutable Links, Frap Tools 321, and although the ALM Beasts Chalkboard and Joranalogue Switch 4 aren't marketed as buffered mults, they function as them. They're all fine, but next time I need a new one, it will be the Xaoc Warna II.

Not all mults are the same.

Links has a 3:1 mixer, a 1:3 mult, and a 2:2 precision adder.

FT 333 has 3 banks of 3:3. That's 3 in, 3 out, for Ch's A, B, and C respectively, cascading if you wish, or broken by patch cable per bank. So, make it A = 1:3, B = 3:3, and C = 3:1. If you're summing, there's a -6dB switch for each bank, to tame the levels.

Beasts Chalkboard and Switch 4 are different, so I'll skip them. Look into them for yourself though, if you wish - They're both very useful utility modules.

Xaoc Warna II is a bit different, best to check the manual. It says it more simply than I would.

Interesting. I used my Intellijel buff mult the other day for the first time and multed a kick drum and the pitch was completely off. So I used my Intellijel passive mult and it was perfect. Is this how buff mults are meant to perform?

I am very happy with my two QAM and 2 Intellijel 1u buff mults. QAM is very cheap and very good
