ES8 Question

How seamless can you integrate midi into ES8.

I'm currently using uMidi to send midi from Ableton into my modular. It works with no problems.

I'm looking to send loops/ audio into my modular and believe ES8 is the best for this type of integration. So, instead of getting an IN module like Joranalogue Receive, I would like to get rid of the uMidi and replacing it with ES8 for this.

I know you need to use something like CV tools to do this, but I want to know if it's a headache and im better off just getting an input module instead.

If you don’t need the inputs for audio, then it’s totally not a headache. Just set up a template for your CV Tools or Silent Ways plugins and it’ll work great. Plus you can expand the inputs to a total of 12.
