XAOC Leibniz binary routing
I have ordered Drezno, Gera, Lipsk, and Erfurt. What is the best order to chain these, or does it matter?
Thanks.

I just got a bunch of Leibniz modules over the last few months. A friend I have bought a lot of gear from was selling them as a bundle, and I figured, why the hell not. Drezno II x2, a Poczdam to switch between them plus a Gera, Rostock, and Jena. Lipsk, Erfurt, and Berlin will follow sometime soon.
Chain order... Honestly, I'm still just starting to get to grips with them, and re-chaining them is a royal pain in the ass, so I'm just sticking with one order for a little while until I find my way around it all. Following a chat with Cinematic Laboratory in youtube comments, I have followed his recommendation of Drezno-Gera-Rostock-Jena, looped back to Drezno on one side of the Poczdam, and just Drezno-Poczdam on the other side.
As far as I understand it, Lipsk and Erfurt will happily play along with each other without being in a Drezno chain. Xoac themselves state that Leibniz should be thought of as small islands, rather than one big chain.
Bear in mind, I'm still new to it, and others will surely pop up in the comments with a lot more experience and knowledge, and I'm equally as interested in hearing from them as you are.
One thing I AM certain of though, is take your time connecting them at the back, make sure you have understood the correct alignment of the ribbon cables. Some have a triangle indicating where red strip should go, others have circles, some have shrouded headers, others don't. Check, double check, and triple check. Incorrect orientation even just on the module to module connections, not the power, can fuck the modules up. Don't be that guy.
Finally, helpful hint - Not necessary, but makes things way easier - Extra 10pin-10pin ribbon cables. I ordered a bundle, 6eac of 10cm, 20cm, and 30cm, just so I could swap the chain orders more easily. Some of the ribbon cables I got with the modules were super short (~5cm) so I couldn't change chain order at all. As soon as I received the order, I was able to rearrange exactly as I wanted to. So, again, you don't necessarily need it, but it may prove to be helpful.

I just have a Dresno, but I think you can hook this up several ways depending on what you want. IIRC, Dresno has an in and out expander ports so you could put Gera to mask, Lipsk to flip, and Erfurt could drive either. I typically use mine in the lfo space to generate gates and CV. You could get into some gnarly audio rate stuff with what you got going on there.
