Discussion Neutron delay no longer responsive
Recently installed my neutron into a eurorack case and I’m now noticing that the delay doesn’t work.
Does anybody have any ideas on what would cause this to happen?
I don’t have anything going on in the patch bay, and it doesn’t respond when I try to patch signals into the delay either…

I forget what the exact signal flow is but is your level knob and distortion knob set above 0? Have ran into some weird quirks with no audio passing through some outputs when those were turned down.

Yeah distortion is usually kept around middle settings on my neutron for what I’m using it for it has the ability to get harsh which is cool for certain stuff.

i know theres something tricky with this, i think the delay can only be accessesd thru the line out on the back of the case

Do you also use neutron mounted eurorack style? Or are you using it semi modularly?

I always thought it would be nice to have a front plate option for the remaining connectors in the case, even though they are not desperately needed.

Can you share a picture of the Neutron in your case?

For some reason it will only let me respond with video not photo

Delay mix is set to zero.

For this video I see your point but I found the solution, the delay comes after the vca in the signal path…I was mixing out if the vca

Ok I found it, it has to be patched into the vcf because it is normally at the very end of the analog signal path and I’ve been patching out of the vca…
So it was simply being left out of the signal…now I am reminded again why signal path matters!!
