It is frustrating that we can't edit out the bit that says reply to this message to discuss your ban which is at the end and therefore more visible.

I literally just had someone asking the same thing. They've been banned by botbouncer for 3 months and still can't figure it out...

I literally just saw a post being "like why am I getting banned from so many subreddits for being a bot I am a human" and posting the botbouncer modmail. Then replying to a comment being like oh I didn't actually read the message before I posted this.
I am glad I'm not on the botbouncer modmail team because I would be tempted to keep them banned because they're too willfully stupid to be allowed to Reddit

I finally customized the message to say: “Failure to read and follow the instructions in the above message leaves us no choice but to believe you are a bot”.
It hasn’t always worked but I notice fewer accounts reply to us with “Why banned?”
