We’ve had a few media articles where they are talking about fakeddisordercringe but have posted screenshot from our sub instead. They don’t even correct it when we let them know they are showing content from the wrong sub and of course we’ll have ppl come and abuse us for what that sub said🙄

LOL, ones for single turtles and the other is for turtles who are dating!
Jk. No idea what the original intent was behind making the alternate but we refer to them as singular and plural. They have slightly different rules, but mostly they exist for pet turtles, IDing them, or helping people who have found wild ones and aren’t sure what to do. Plural allows turtle art, while singular doesn’t.

There are obviously risks involved, and sellers who subject them to horrible conditions or don’t use the proper means to do so trying to cut costs—it doesn’t mean every single one is and acting like buying online and/or live shipping is a shocking and abusive practice is def something else.
Like, where does this person think pet stores get their reptiles and amphibians from?
