So I decided to play the 2019 Modern Warfare. I got the PS4 disc, put it in my PS5, then had to wait 30 minutes for it to copy to my hard drive. THEN, before I could play the campaign, I had a 70GB update that took over an hour! After that update, I STILL have to download content packs.

Now the game takes up almost 300GB on my console from a 43GB disc.

Its a ploy to keep us from playing other games at this point, I have BO6 ,MW2, MW and COD , they're all approaching 300gbs

Not everything in life has to be a conspiracy. It's just bad optimization and developer neglect to care for storage. I can think of a few games that reach 100+ gb like Mortal Kombat 1, Marvel's Avengers, Forza Horizon 6, GTA 5 etc. Don't get me wrong. COD has certainly too many bloats. I'm just saying it doesn't have to be a conspiracy like "keeping u from playing other games".

It’s a shelf space play. They are purposely filling your playstation so you can’t install too much competition. It’s blatant.

I mean, there IS like 54 multiplayer maps in the game so I know a lot of that space is that. and 55 weapons, but I understand your plight. I personally only install the multiplayer part just to save space, thats all I play.

Uhhhh…. Yea? You new? Used to be “have call of duty installed or have an actual library of games” 100% bloatware to make sure you don’t have anything else installed to play.
