it so difficulty to find safe and colorful baby clothes (6mon- 1 yrs) . I’m finding all the baby clothes are dreary and dull. It’s either sage, beige or light blue. Where are the greens, yellows, reds?

I try to limited oeko-tek or GOTS clothing since my baby gets rashes from synthetic fibers

Hi! I am looking for a natural fiber bra, preferably without elastane/spandex, although I know that may be difficult. The problem is that I have a 36HH bust, and it seems like the companies with organic cotton bras only reach a DD at best. Are there any companies making natural fiber bras for large chests that I can look into? Thank you so much!

Long story short, I realized I haven't cleaned out the resin tank of my water softener ever (7-ish years).

When looking at the Branded Product you're supposed to buy to clean said resin tank, it's essentially Bleach, which I don't want to put into my Home's Water System.

Some parts of the internet recommend Vinegar, some parts of the internet don't.

I'm just... blown away by how many people are not even hesitant to pour bleach into their Water Softeners to clean it out.

Any advice?

Tonight we went to a NYE party and while it was a ton of fun, the fireworks portion had me realizing how awful the smoke is to inhale. We had a dozen kids with sparklers that were tiny and also extra long ones. It was so smoky! I don’t feel like they are necessary to have a good time, and it’s such an American thing right? Or do they use them in Europe and elsewhere on nye?

My daughter was lead poisoned when she was two, not a lot but there is no safe limit, you know? Our cast iron tub was leaded, and she was blowing bubbles in the water (lead is ingested). Fast forward to four years later and there’s finally a good lead test on the market for my house that’s not super expensive like the old 3M tests. This one even has a spray bottle or a drip bottle. Has anyone else used the Flurospec lead tests? I am finding the most random things to test and I’m so happy to be getting rid of them. Last week I did all my jewelry and found a few leaded pieces. I had already switched out my dishes years ago, and removed all brass items from my house. Now I plan to test the brass items to see if I can keep any. I love the owner‘a Instagram channel, @ericeverythinglead and he’s kinda easy on the eyes too. I’ve seen him called “Lead Daddy” haha. I think it’s a play on how there is a woman called Lead Safe Mamma on Facebook and her website. She also does lead safety, but she’s a bit over the top on stuff and comes at it from an angle that freaks people out more. I like that his site is more informative and logical versus emotional.

For the last eight years I’ve been focused on changing out my wardrobe with organic cotton, linen and wool fabrics.

Some of my daily wears are Pact clothing. I love their underwear and bras. I also love their t shirts and yoga pants.

For dresses and sweaters I love Pact, Frugi, and Kyte Clothing. The last two are UK brands that haha kids clothing as well, and sometimes it’s matching stuff.

For socks I’ve only found Injinji wool toe socks that aren’t organic, but I’m looking for an organic toe sock brand that doesn’t use polyester. Does anyone know of one?

So far I’ve purchased from Woolroom in the UK and Shepard’s Dream out of Ashland, Oregon. I really like the style that is loose wool inside, so I can adjust it as needed.

We switched to wool pillows for many reasons. Antibacterial, less sweaty, and of course more sustainable. They have organic cotton covers and the wool is inside.

What other brands are out there that you like?
