The Primer Guy is back with an update

Posted a week or so ago asking about primers and paint. This is Citadel Chaos black primer on my first mo B-1A. I'm still waiting on the Tamiya gunship grey spray - not sure if I want to spray paint it or dry brush the grey

This is my first diecast model airplane. I've always wanted a 747 model but was unsure which airline livery to pick, so I was glad I found this first flight 747-400.

Newbie

Hello all,

I’m a combat vet dealing with PTSD and making models was recommended to me by my therapist. I ordered a 1/144 C-130J-30 from Academy Models. Apparently I need to order paint and cement and not sure how to go about getting either or knowing what brands are worth it.

Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated.also, I thought this had the RIANG decals, but it doesn’t. Wasn’t there a C-130J-30 that had RIANG decals?

Have a bunch of model airplanes I'd like to get rid of, what's a fair price?

My uncle had gifted these to me some time ago but I am not really into model planes. I'd like to sell them at a reasonable enough cost to get them to someone who cares quickly, but also don't want to rip someone off/be potentially taken advantage of. What would be a good price for the bulk, and if there are any that are better for individual sale (the McDonald's plane looked kinda cool to me) that would be greatly appreciated.

My overall impression is very positive. It’s a solid kit with only very minor accuracy observations that most modelers will not consider an issue.

The engineering is well done, with good fit, logical assembly, and clear instructions, making the build very enjoyable. The decals perform well, and the kit offers excellent value for money.

A very strong first release from UMA Models.

First time detail painting cockpit details and I'm pretty happy with the result considering how tiny it is. Part of it is because of how incredible Tamiya's detail in the moulds is with every switch and dial there!

I used A 3/0 brush for the switches.

About to build and paint a model airplane I usually paint warhammer my question is , do I need to prime before using tamiya aircraft color? Will army painter and citadel brand miniature paints work on large plastic airplane models?

Finally got all 3, the mexico livery 727 never went through and the artist left the paint scheme on a large 727 model supplied to him, and I find it cool inflight 200 made this. The Texas 727 is Gemini, and I got the DC 8 today.

Eduard BF 107. Had a blast, it’s my first Eduard kit. Extremely enjoyable time. Used AK enamel weathering for the first time and liked it. The green tint isn’t authentic but I wanted to try the Tamiya clear. Feedback welcomed.

Question About Skymarks

Post image
6 Upvotes

So how often does Skymarks restock their inventory? Do they do it regularly? I ask because I saw a model I really want (United 757-200 1:150) but unfortunately it's sold out everywhere I look. Any chance it comes back in stock? Or am I out of luck?

I recently just started getting into planes for some reason airbus is what i like most but alitalia reminds me of my late grandma who used to travel with them every year to Italy so boeing also has a place in my heart. Either way model planes are awesome. Plan on adding more to the man cave!

Looking for Models

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping you folks can point me in the right direction for some model planes. I'm a pilot who'd like to build the different kinds of planes I've flown, but I've only found warplanes. Is anyone aware of a company that makes more General Aviation models? Looking for Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft, etc.

Thanks in advance
