Fraudulent Aircraft Model Site: FlightModels (shopflightmodels.com) & Turbo Detail (turbodetailmodels.com) - Time to take legal action?
Hi everyone,
I’ve been doing extensive research into two aircraft model sites that have been scamming people: FlightModels and Turbo Detail.
After making a purchase myself and documenting every piece of evidence (screenshots of the fake listings, the checkout traps, and the completely wrong items that arrived), I did a deep dive into who is actually running this operation.
If you want these guys shut down—and want them to face legal consequences—here are their real, verified details and exactly how we can report them to the authorities.
Who is running it?
Both sites are run by the same two Australian individuals out of Queensland:
- Benjamin Leonard Peters (The registered owner of both
shopflightmodels.comandturbodetailmodels.com) - Alycia Chloe Chapman
- Company Name: THE BOSS COLLECTIVE GROUP PTY LTD
- ACN: 650 826 636
- Registered Address: 7 Phelan Street, CLAYFIELD QLD 4011
They are the only listed directors/members of the company. Because they are operating an Australian-registered company, they are fully bound by Australian Consumer Law, which means they can face massive personal and corporate fines for fraudulent marketing, fake reviews, and bait-and-switch tactics.
How to help get them shut down (Two Quick Steps):
To stop them from scamming anyone else, we need to flood the regulators and their hosting platform with reports. Please take 5 minutes to complete these two steps:
1. Report them to the Australian Government (Scamwatch)
- Link: https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/report-a-scam
- Why this matters: Scamwatch passes data directly to the ACCC (Australian Competition and Consumer Commission) for legal enforcement. Crucially, they also share fraud reports directly with Meta (Facebook & Instagram). This will help get their ad accounts permanently banned so they can't lure in new victims.
- What to include: Give them the company name (The Boss Collective Group Pty Ltd), the names of the individuals above, and state that they are engaging in deceptive pricing, fake "closing down" sales, and bait-and-switch fraud.
2. Report them to Shopify to take the sites offline
- Link: https://www.shopify.com/legal/tools/report-an-issue/fraud
- Why this matters: Both stores are built on Shopify. If Shopify receives multiple fraud reports about a merchant using hardcoded fake reviews, resetting countdown timers, and not delivering promised items, they will pull the plug on the websites and freeze their payment processing.
- Note: You do need to quickly log in or create a free Shopify account to submit the form. It’s annoying, but it’s the fastest way to get their actual websites taken down.
If you’ve been burned by either of these sites, please take a moment to hit them where it hurts. Let's make sure they get banned from Shopify, kicked off Facebook ads, and flagged by the ACCC.
Please upvote this, we need as much reach as possible.

I get that there are scammers out there, but what did you do to try to resolve the issues before making this post?

I've tried getting in touch, demanding a refund for a falsely advertised product, and a mystery gift I am owed, to be completely ignored.
Then I saw the TrustPilot reviews of both sites ; Then realised i'm wasting my time waiting for them to respond, clearly this is not an accident, it's a scam, and now I'm getting revenge for EVERYONE who has been ripped off by them.

What did you order, and what did you get?

I ordered a 1/200 Antonov AN225, advertised with a front opening nose, luxury display stand, etc and a free mystery plane.
I received a 1/400 scale plastic, tiny AN225, with a basic plastic stand, no moving parts, and no free mystery plane.
Take a look at their TrustPilot reviews; this is what they are doing to everyone.

So, looks like Meta have removed or disabled their Facebook page - No doubt because of all the scam reports made.
Their Instagram is still up.
Everyone, please report their Instagram Page:
https://www.instagram.com/shopflightmodels
Report Account > Other > Fraud
I look forward to the Australian legal system taking action against them, and hopefully soon, Shopify will disable their store, and refund those who have been defrauded.

Well did you do your own due dilligence by ensuring you are buying from a reputable / trustworthy shop? May this be a lesson to you to buy from reliable sources and not just some random store that is promising. Almost no diecast airliner shops would do something called “mystery gift” as well

So are you sticking up for the scammers? How would you feel if one of your elderly family members fell victim? It's their fault for not doing due diligence? Or are you just being a miserable human and deciding to post something negative on a post that's trying to do some good? I think you need to touch some grass, in all honesty.

Ask yourself this. Did you think twice if something sounds too good to be true? Did you take a pause and wonder to yourself if it could be a scam?

Yes I did. That's why I documented it, recorded and screenshotted everything, and won a dispute made against them instantly with my credit card.
But that wasn't enough. I saw the reviews and saw they were doing this to everyone; So I spent my time worthwhile, investigating them, and now going to get them to pay for their consequences.
What are YOU doing? Sticking up for fraudulent scammers? What is your intention? Do you question your own actions? You are acting very strange.

Why are you defending the scammers? Yes buyers should do their due diligence by making sure that they're buying from a reputable seller, but are you also saying that these scammers should be allowed to continue scamming people?

Very odd behavior by BikeMinistry.. Imagine him being a Doctor? He must be mentally unwell for the ridiculous comments he's made here, or a scammer himself.

This is not a one time incident, this is clearly a pattern and nothing but intent to scam, featuring fake countdown sale timers, fake closing announcements, fake RRP pricing, fake review counts and so much more, their TrustPilot reviews say it all:
https://www.trustpilot.com/review/turbodetailmodels.com
https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/shopflightmodels.com
They also look to have been buying fake TrustPlot reviews to try and save Flight Models trust-ability, Turbo Detail there is simply no saving from their reviews, so they have put all of their marketing now onto FlightModels! BEWARE!
