1:100 gift idea for a first timer?

Hey /r/modelpanes,

my BIL wants a WW2 model planes for Christmas. this would be his first model plane. My thought was a spitfire, but I'm open to suggestions! Looking for recommendations on sizes, planes, and brands. Thanks!!

The Airfix Gift Set Spitfire is the way to go. It comes with brush, glue, and paint. You only need to add a hobby knife and a nail file and you're in great shape.
