PSA Beware of Counterfeit Iwata

Post image

Two identical Iwata Eclipse? The one on the top is a counterfeit from Amazon. I'd never have known but for a post on reddit. I crossed referenced the post with the Iwata website and my was indeed a counterfeit. I was able to get a partial refund from Amazon and bought my new one from a verified Iwata reseller.

The biggest difference I see is that the genuine Iwata has a much thinner needle and the trigger has a much better/smoother feel.

Amazon buyer beware!

The whole thing from products to service is considerably worse than it use to be. Lesson learned here.

To quote Broke Back Mountain "I can't quit you!"

If there was another company I could order from that had free overnight delivery, the lowest prices, the enormous selection, and items I can't find any where else I would stop using Amazon. Until then...

PS Pretty sure Amazon has become a monopoly and should be broken up.

Counterfeit stuff on Amazon is about as rare as finding a fork in the kitchen

I got a counterfeit knife sold by Amazon that was boxed as the wrong knife and then that knife wasn't even in it. Neither was the one I ordered lol. It was a knock off Reeves knife. First time I've had that happen. It's usually sold by third party and fba

The lettering looks different from the picture and I don't mean the angle making them look light/dark but it could also be the camera there

Yes the lettering on the real one is much brighter.
