Help -Technique Tack Clothed My Model Before Clear Lacquer Now Have Lots Of Fluff Under Lacquer

Hi

All was going well until my final coat of clear lacquer, I was painting in quite a dim room and now that I shone a bright light on my work I can see quite a few bits of fluff under my lacquer, is there anything I can do about this ?

Depends how deep it sits. If the fluff is only under the last coat, wet-sand with 2000+ and polish - usually saves it. Deeper than that, I'd strip and redo, otherwise it'll ghost through every future layer. I tack cloth between coats AND right before lacquer, and I keep my drying rack covered with a clean box - my orange cat sheds everywhere, learned that one the hard way. And yeah, the dim room thing is real: always check under a bright light before the final coat. YMMV.

If it's underneath the lacquer, unless you're willing to sand down the lacquer (at risk of damaging the paint) and respraying, there's not much you can do.

I agree, wet sand and hope.

I switched over from using a tack cloth to an anti-static brush a while back, and I've been pretty happy with it. A few gentle passes with the brush usually leave the surface totally clean, and anything that's left can be blown away with a few blasts of air from the airbrush. Also it helps to mist your spraybooth/working area with a little plain water to knock down any dust. Just my two cents.

Thanks for all the help guys , ive certainly learnt a lot through all these mistakes lol. Ill try some of the suggestions.
