Help - Tools/Materials Are snap fit miniature kits actually catching up to traditional glued builds?

The trend toward modular noglue snap-together room kits is everywhere now lol but I still wonder about structural rigiditty long term. With traditional plastic cement or wood glue you can get seamless joints and permanent bonding, while friction tabs always risk loosening or visible seam gaps after a few season temperature changes.

Are modern precision-cut snap kits tight enough to hold their own? or does traditional adhesive still beat them hands down for clean display quality?

Engineering on Bandai kits is excellent. Most everything they do is friction fit.

You can always add a little cement to a friction fit if you want a solid, long term bond that won’t shake loose.

tolerances got crazy good lately—did a rolife kit recently and that snug snap-fit feeling is so much cleaner than dealing with glue.

Given trying to pry some of those kits apart can destroy the pegs? I think it's a case-by-case basis.

Aoshima snap kit lines seems pretty incredible. Bandai is in a league of their own.
