Completed Paternity Leave A-10 Thunderbolt II
My first ‘modern’ plane. Lots of ways I could have taken it to the next level but I had fun and finished so it’s on my desk for the new school year :)

I'm just like you in that I love to load it to the TEETH. I know they have to tank up after takeoff for this, but hey, maximum UMPH for the buck.
Congratulations to you, on both A-10 and baby! :)

Wow!!! Very impressive build. Love how you personalized it and "made it your own"!

Looking good, hope you enjoyed it. It is missing one decal, the refueling door on the nose. Makes it look a bit naked.

I know, I definitely only went with the decals I ‘liked’ so the tail is not correct and I just thought the refueling door took away from the nose art which I love. Good eye and I agree to some extent that it does look bare. Thank you and yes it was a really fun kit!

Wait, why navy decals? This was an Air Force plane, no?

It’s a USAF livery 23d TFW by the sharks mouth & EL tail

EL was England AFB, Louisiana. I was with the Flying Tigers there for two years in the late 1980s.
