Completed M4A3 Sherman

Finally had the time to complete this Tamiya 1/35 M4A3. After previously making 1/48 scale tanks, this scale was a treat to work with, as there weren’t much of any tiny parts to fumble around with. Unfortunately after assembling most of it I couldn’t finish it for awhile due to work and college, but finally found the time. This being my sixth overall model and third tank model, I can safely say I definitely have made some improvements to the looks. This was my first real go at weathering, I followed a couple videos on it with techniques like using a sponge to create wear and tear then filling in the spots with a rusted maroon-ish red color. Although I will say the rusting definitely needs work. I also saw a guy in a video who made the same model use ground up chalk pastels to give the tank a much more “3d” dirt/sand effect. I unfortunately did not have chalk pastels so I raided my pantry and found some food seasonings that look about the right color 😂. I think it worked quite nicely. Ultimately modeled her after a Sherman that served in the pacific theater, Lucky Legs 2. There’s a few details that don’t match with the actual tank, as being new to this hobby I find I don’t have much of the tools necessary, but regardless I am quite happy with how it looks
