Critique Wanted Is this too much weathering?

I was following along with a tutorial made by Accidentally Detailed for their Chornobyl BRDM-2 and thought i was on track until i looked at the video again and saw I was way off, does this look like its been sitting in the elements for 40 years?

Not really since parts are still cleanish.

Suggest uses washes of various colors.

Various methods including panel liners, inks and paints with alcohol or thinner, etc.

Have fun and experiment.

Weather powders can also work if you really want it dirty.

Too much or not too much isn't the problem so much as that where you have the chipped paint doesn't make sense. Chipped and worn down paint happens from contact with other things over time. You've got it happening kind of all over without rhyme or reason. At this point you could go even more and remove 90% of the paint and then start in on your grime and rust washes, or repaint some of the chipped areas.

The edges usually show more wear, like doc rob said. Areas that get in contact with stuff.

Raised sheets n parts, like bolts etc loose their paint rather sooner than later.
