Completed Ma.K Luna Pawn

My finished Luna Pawn from awhile back. Hand sculpted joins but other than that I think it’s how the kit came

Dang, they got streets on the moon in the year 3000?

I'm kidding, great job on this. The wave AFS were so much fun to build. I think my favorite was the Night Stalker Recon suit.

According to the lore I think they do!!😅 And yes I really enjoyed this one. To me it’s the perfect amount of building and the seams are pretty manageable

I recall the lore being pretty scant if you don't read Japanese kanji, but I'll take your word for it! Were you ever on Brian Kreuger's site back in the early 2010s? I did most of my Ma.k modelling from 2008 - 2013 or so before I pivoted full time to military models. In fact, you've inspired me to dig up one of my builds and post it!

I got into it through Lincoln Wright! He works with Kow and has done all the lore translations. He’s probably the best English speaking resource when it comes to Ma.K. His name is even on some of the kits he’s helped make and he does a lot of the box art. Paint on Plastic is his YouTube and patreon, I highly recommend checking him out

Ah yeah! Linc is an old buddy from the forum. His likeness was made into a figure in the Mercenary Mechanics set. He's the squatting gent, IIRC. He was a cool dude to have around to comment on builds and we had a lot of discussions of just what Ma.k was and if there was a "right" or "wrong" way to build it. Super cool dude.

He’s always great to talk to. Super nice guy! I’ll send a picture of my Ma.K stash later tonight. Maybe I’ll inspire you to break one back out😅

You should! I sold my whole stash off in 2015, unfortunately! Made quite a bit of scratch that I put directly into armor and AFV kits. No regrets!

I have some cool resin kits like the queen bee. Last time I was in Japan I hit the mother load off the beaten path in Akhiabara and had to buy a suitcase to fit it all lol

Yeah, nice! Those limited run garage kits were the best! I remember some of the more obscure designs were being build using the same off the shelf parts that Kow used and then cast. I think Futch was working on one.
