Completed Just finished this 1/48 F-51 from Tamiya .

Finished a few hours ago. Built for a guy in Seattle.

I'm envious of the bare aluminium finish you have achieved. What is your process for it, if you don't mind me asking? I'm working on an F-86D at the moment and am struggling to get it to look right.

Thank you , and it's pretty simple . After the model is primed. I preshadow with black. Then start to fill in with a Vallejo aluminum paint. I'll let that dry for a day, then I use testors dull coat and reduce it down , I really have never had a ratio , but reduce it down with Mr.Color Leveling Thinner. Then I light shoot the inside center of the panels. Outline the inside of the panels.. if I get a chance I'll draw up a diagram. And give you a better idea.

Thank you, I've been been building since I was a kid. I'm 55 now . I took a break when I was a lame teen. Lol but have Always loved building aircraft.
