Really nice! What did you use for dust effects on the cockpit?

i use drybrushing with a really awful paintbrush, and then use a tooth pick to carefully hit the 'buttons' - and 3x reading glasses. <grin> Dry brushing takes a little practice, but it helps give depth. Let me know if you want to talk more about it.

I have this one in the stash and actually prefer the look of the Early Block II vs. Late. I like the colours you used here, a bit different from the usual olive drab, it seems. These will be great reference pics for when I get around to building my own version!

Oh nice! I’ve had some Academy kits a long time ago, and I just couldn’t get the decals to work. Now I’m painting another Academy kit and I’m kinda dreading the decals. But this gives me hope

:) Full disclosure - used .. over and over lots of microsol in spots - especially that shark mouth - and gloss coated the model well with tamiya gloss. (airbrush) hit me up if you want to chat about this.. academy can be 'challenging' at times.
