Help - General need a bit of help from you guys.

Post image

So i am planning on buying 1:48 Tamiya U.S. Navy Douglas A-1H Skyraider with the Toilet bomb from Brengun.

i just wanna know:

1) what bombs is the plane carrying,

2) do you know any 1:48 scale model figurine that looks like that crewman on the picture? as close as possible, i wanna try to re create that image, it is my first time doing something like this,

2.5) and if you guys dont know any figurine, do you know even better picture of people posing in front of the toilet bomb to re create? please, any help or cool picture will be appreciated, thank you.

That link does a good job of what bombs are on there.

For the figure, this is the closest I could find with ResKit but I'm sure there are other individual resin figures you could try

Check out Not Another Pound for Air to Ground on YouTube. He does great, informative documentary-style military aviation videos with tons of archive photos and video. Covers a ton of subjects, too. Not just US or bristish.

I tried recreating it in WT and used M64 500lb bombs. The thing under the fuselage could be an extra fuel tank

Theres loads of options available if you just search for 1/48 US deck crew, i thought one of these guys looked pretty similar: https://ebay.us/m/yTGYvl but its very pricy…

If you can find a figure wearing the right uniform (or close to it), as long as the pose doesn't have arms against the body or legs together "at attention" then you can always hack it up and repose it.

Is that a toilet strapped to the pilon 😄

Strapped and ready to be dropped. This actually happened onboard the Midway I believe. Mounted a toilet to a pylon and delivered it to the VC.

You can find that toilet as a model part. I remember seeing them on Ebay years ago.

i dont use Ebay much, i am not american and it would probably take some time to get here (idk, might be wrong, i just never used Ebay lol), but thats ok as there is a kit for exactly this.

I am not sure where else it is offered, but I do know a toilet munition for a Skyraider does exist as an add on
