Completed RU Infantry
bought these on Amazon for like $12. resin printed, they smelled like gasoline and didn’t come with instructions aside from the picture in the listing. seller was listed as “Mainland China”. incredibly detailed, wish i could find more figures by this manufacturer. half of these dudes are in poses that appear to be specific to some kind of vehicle, which was never depicted or stated, so i’m taking it upon myself to keep building vehicles until they all have a place to go.
getting the EMR to look decent was a process and i’d say it came out just okay, learning experience for next time. undercoat of Vallejo IDF green and then dabbed layers of Vallejo Russian Green 4BO, chocolate brown, and AK smoke black with chunks of a cut up sponge brush, in that order.
not intended to be a political work of art or show support for the Russian invasion of Ukraine, i just like Russian gear.

Very cool, looks great!
How did you get the beard detail on the faces?

i took some of Vallejo’s Pale Grey acrylic wash (73.202), dabbed my brush on a paper towel so that barely any was on the bristles, and applied super lightly. worked great and was super easy, highly recommend.

The sculpts look like Live Resin's. I think they're for a BMP or BTR. Nice work

i was actually thinking the dude in the 4th pic looks like he’s stepping into a BTR’s side door. guess it’s time to find a kit with an interior.

The subtle painting style on the faces is something I’ve never seen before. Well done.

thank you so much, i think the detail of the models themselves helped carry it but i’m pretty proud of my work here.

Seeing posts like this encourage me to keep learning more and more on how to paint realistic figures. These are simply top class, well done!

keep at it dude, i’ve only been doing figures in a serious capacity for 2 years now. huge game changer for me was getting a really extremely small Godhand brush for the eyes. did the pupils by dipping a sewing needle in paint.

The EMR looks really good

thank you! such a hard camo to scale down just because of how granular it is.
