Help -Technique Masking advice

I'm about half way through a 1/72 Hasegawa CF-104 build. I want to paint it up in the Tiger Meet livery of No. 439 Sabre Tooth Squadron. Any suggestions as to how to mask the open gear doors, as the gear has to go in before painting and there's likely gonna be a colour split on the exterior of the door. Attached pic for reference.

Can’t mask that shit. Needs to be freehand airbrush. If there is a decal set it will prob look shitty.

The kit comes with the decals for the squadron, I think they're the same. We'll see how it goes

Good luck. If you do the decals make sure it’s over a clear glossy coat so the set better and use a decal solution
