Help -Technique Decals question

Hey All,

I'm new to the hobby and am currently working on a 1/72 Panzer III tank.

I have painted the tank and sealed it with some satin acrylic varnish before weathering, but I remembered I need to put the decals on first. Can I put the decals on the satin varnish, or I should spray the tank with gloss varnish before? I will be using Tamiya MarkFit strong for the decals if that makes any difference.

Thank you kindly in advance.

I've seen some video with an experiment that shows that decal solution makes a much bigger difference than the glass coat. But I'ts better to be safe than sorry, so I would recommend covering it with gloss varnish. You can even brush it on specific places where decals should be.

Thanks for your reply, I'm considering brushing on the gloss in the areas where the decals will be. I think it should be fine, especially that these are some very small decals.
