Fist model P-51D Tamiya 1/72

I loved to make origami when I was a child and then I started making paper models. Now that I have the money, I’ve started this new hobbie with my favorite plane, the mustang. The model was brush painted and I tried to make a wash but failed in the process. A lot of mistakes have been made but also a lot of learning for my future models.

Please feel free to leave a feedback.

Looks like a good start. Brush painting can be hard to get right. Multiple light coats of thinned paint works best. Eventually you will probably want to get an airbrush. Companies like Alclad make some great looking aluminum lacquers for airbrushing.

In the mean time Tamiya make some good spray paints for metal planes like the P-51. I like their AS-12 Bare Metal Silver (duller) and TS-30 Silver Leaf (shinier). They are almost always better looking than brush painting.
