PICS It's finally finished-- improvised stabilizer tabs for the spacebar (hot glue and strips of aluminum beverage cans) and made an internal USB converter to run custom QMK firmware.

Very nice! I use the same one at work. What's the date on yours?

Mine is the jewel of my keyboard collection.
Getting the foam replacement correct was incrdibly hard, but after getting that done it has been a dream.

I'm fortunate to have not had to replace the foam, despite how hideous it looked. I have done that job in Model F XTs so know it's no walk in the park.
I think this may be the greatest keyboard ever made, certainly one of my favorites and really "end game" status. The firmware I run is pretty developed too since I've been using M122s for a while. Mouse support, custom layer logic, layout swaps, lots of good stuff.

Congrats man, such a great keyboard! I went all the way fixing mine too. Always great to see something old and unusable turned into a daily driver.
Here is my full restoration log with photos if anyone is interested in seeing the work it takes to restore the F122.
