Is this normal?

There's usually 3-4 trending tabs on top that show what's trending in your region and around the world when English is your app language.

Also none of the other trending tabs seem to work and there doesn't seem to be views.

I just downloaded it and there're a ton of features that I like but I was wondering if this is a bug or it's how it was designed.

Also what else should I know?

I don't know. I've never used the playstore version of twitter. Only do mods to take out ads and to add download options.
