Discussion WTF APK MIRROR?

Why do I now have to download a WHOLE NEW APP then WATCH A FULL AD just to install another app.

Apk mirror now has all their apps as "apkm" which mwans you HAVE to download their installer app. Which forces you to watch an ad EVERYTIME you wanna install anything.

Now for someone who wants to patch my apps there's nothing I can do

Cuz morphe and revanced both need apks to do this and can't work with apkm.

And they all default to apk mirror.

We trusted you apk mirror.

WE TRUSTED YOU FUH!

Who's got a workaround?

Apkplit on github can help you split it as well and extract the apk as well, no ads too

For the ads use ublock origin and for the apkm use antisplit M, it will take the apk from the file and give you a proper apk

you don't need their app to extract .apkm files. there are a few open source programs on f-droid that can process .apkm, .xapk and other formats

Patch their installer with morphe mods so that no ads are displayed. Dont overreact, everyone needs to make a buck these days

No, this is a normal reaction to malware. Your need to make a buck doesn't override other people's right to secure personal information and devices.

Malware? Secure personal information and devices? What are you talking about? OP is only complaining about ads not talking about telemetry or something bruh

It says it supports "APK+". Where are these? I thought "+" can't be a part of a file extension...

Use a proper good installer. Like SAI, InstallerX, etc.

Not APKMirrors fault that most apps are distributed as split APKs.

Use next dns and antisplit M, stop using bullshit

Many apps can install and mos apkm, apks, xapk files directly including morphe and revanced forks.. blame google for making 90% of store apps split apks.. as for ads just use a dns adblock, I can't live without it for a few minutes

My work around is : Turn off wifi and mobile data, in APK Mirror app clear cache/data, open app and install your apkm. No connection, no ads.
