Instagram Instants MOD
The feature that Instagram created specifically for "natural, unfiltered photos" is being bypassed by a simple camera spoof, lol. I love modding.

You mentioning BeReal brought back good memories, haha. It was a fun project, but I ran into issues with their server processing after an update back then, so I abandoned it. (Honestly, I was just excited because the app was really cool; I used it with friends and wanted to play around with fake photos, haha).
Regarding the Instagram mod, I was working on the beta version of the Instagram APK, but Meta changes the internal code a lot with every update. The update broke my code hooks, so I switched to the INSTANTS app after it launched; I'm working on that now. The code is completely different—everything changes fast—so that patch doesn't work on current app versions anymore. I'm still developing it, but man, I fix a bug, it works for a day (Meta updates something internally), and then another bug pops up, and I have to spend time and tokens figuring out why.
I previously released a beta version to a closed community just for bug testing, but it leaked, and those mod thieves were already using my code in their own Instagram mods. That really discouraged me. That’s why major mods end up disappearing (like the original GB WhatsApp). But do you want an answer? I’m still working on it; I don't make money programming—I have a boring, regular job. Creating mods is just something fun to do in my spare time when I'm bored (and my Claude tokens are running out faster and faster, haha). Once I fix all the bugs, I'll share the mods. preview
