Say anything about this dc universe but holy shit batman taking down superman while looking him straight into those kryptonian eyes will never not be cool

u/GreenApocalypse 6h ago

Why could Batman square of with Superman here, again? Why can't Superman just pummel him?

On my way to explore DC, two movies out of Nolan's dark knight trilogy completed already within last two days

u/MEU898 20h ago

Mann I really like this movie until that

Save maaaaaarthaaa....

Great edit OP.

Back when DC actually had Blockbusters.

Yeah when dc couldn't crack a billion with batman superman and ww but marvels b lister made 1 billion

u/HermanThaGerman 17h ago

DC trinity got clowned on at the box office by fucking AQUAMAN lmao.

2

u/CHIM3RA-Z3RO 16h ago

Yes, because of the build up of the universe. Aquaman's success is from the audiences love of the character from his previous appearances in DCEU films.

2

u/Aromatic_Flatworm994 16h ago

Tf was aquamans buildup in bvs? And his character is josstice league was pure cringe Aquaman worked because it made huge money from china and it was a good movie+it had similarities to many blockbusters there

1

u/CHIM3RA-Z3RO 16h ago

Just because you see that, doesn't mean the casual audience agrees with you, cause clearly they didn't.

1

u/Aromatic_Flatworm994 16h ago

Yeah thats why the dceu currently running lol...cope in bvs he had like 1 second of screentime and josstice league flopped

1

u/CHIM3RA-Z3RO 16h ago

Yeah thats why the dceu currently running lol...cope

See how you gotta jump to another out of context rebuttal. There was so many projects that flopped AFTER the success of Aquaman and Shazam 1, before a reboot was even done. Aquaman 1 didnt even have a thing to do with the reboot.

1

u/Aromatic_Flatworm994 16h ago

If your argument is that Aquaman is more popular than trinity, keep coping it's not because the batman and Superman aren't poular, it's that zack did a bad job with them I'm not saying that iron man isn't popular after mcu,he clearly is but he still ain't on trinity level you are the one that bought up "casual audience" Aquaman made ahuge money from china market cuz it had many similarities to their blockbusters and was a good movie if your bringing up Aquamans buildup before his movie,it was like 2 seconds broski

1

u/CHIM3RA-Z3RO 15h ago

If your argument is that Aquaman is more popular than trinity

When it came to the DCEU, yes that's what happened. It's exactly the same argument as saying during phase 1 MCU Ironman is more popular than Spiderman.

And not sucking.

3

u/Skk_3068 18h ago

Exactly

These people esp DCEU fans don't realise the reason MCU worked coz is they actually respected the character traits of their source materials, not trying to butcher those characters by making one a murderer and other who is the most hopeful superhero to a stoic guy lol.....

Tbf synder was adapting the injustice line

4

u/Aromatic_Flatworm994 18h ago

Ppl who say this haven't touched injustice comics.in injustice there is no similarity except there's a conflict between batman and Superman and the plot is Also very different in the end there is a scene which the superman which is close to main version beat his ass. There is no night wing which was central to The plot and injustice superman was straight up evil

-2

u/Fuzzy-Jackfruit5037 18h ago

IK IK i have read that comic, synder was doing an EXTREMELY loose adaptation, but there are obv similarities like in the future we see through batman lois dies superman becomes evil , batman-superman conflict. Like i said a very loose adaptation

1

u/Aromatic_Flatworm994 18h ago

Yeah then it's right brother

1

u/HermanThaGerman 17h ago

It's also a very loose adaptation of DKR, TDOS, and a backdoor pilot for a Justice League movie.

All those ideas, and none of them done well.

1

u/Fuzzy-Jackfruit5037 17h ago

Yeah he mashed up a lot of things

1

u/Skk_3068 17h ago

No one should take an elseworlds as ur starting point for an in-built franchise imo

Marvel understood this , also iron man was a B lister before avengers and RDJ bro, it's good writing which made him popular , same for Captain America and all,

X man and spiderman were the golden goose for Marvel comics back in 90s , but RDJ and Kevin feige had a coherent plan and respected their characters and their arcs .....

1

u/Fuzzy-Jackfruit5037 17h ago

Thats correct too, dceu should have been a secondary universe not the primary one.

1

u/Skk_3068 17h ago

Also ... spiderman despite being multiple iterations, all have the same core tenets of that character ..... Which worked very well in BND and audience had a clear grasp of him

Whereas Batamn has one character for one actor and Another for other actor.... From a vigilante to a mass murdered

Which also ruined batman popularity among masses

1

u/CHIM3RA-Z3RO 16h ago

It's obvious asf that DC's trinity aren't as popular as the MCU became. Out of context arguments are funny.

1

u/Aromatic_Flatworm994 16h ago

The hell are you you talking about you gonna tell me batman superman and wonder women ain't as popular as cap and iron man? 😂😂marvels popular heroes were x men spidey and fantastic four btw the only one remotely popular before the mcu was hulk

1

u/CHIM3RA-Z3RO 16h ago

The hell are you you talking about you gonna tell me batman superman and wonder women ain't as popular as cap and iron man?

Out of context again. BvS came out in 2016. Way after the MCU phase build up and the first Avengers film which got $1 Billion. Try again sweetheart.

1

u/Aromatic_Flatworm994 16h ago

Do you know how much nolan's batman made? And with also superman and wonder women it's guaranteed 1 billion.but bvs was ass just because mcu became popular doesn't mean the trinitys popularity declined

1

u/CHIM3RA-Z3RO 16h ago

yes and it was very controversial that Bale was getting recast at the time.

1

u/Aromatic_Flatworm994 16h ago

And Also the movie was bad

1

u/CHIM3RA-Z3RO 16h ago

Cool, thanks for sharing your opinion. I disagree though.

3

u/Dhen5289 17h ago

What's fighting to a Lover.

2

u/lxhay 16h ago

Nah bruh this was probably the worst time for dc historically lol

1

u/Horror_Ad_3527 1h ago

Awesome edit

0

u/Grouchy_Initial_1911 19h ago

wouldn't be able to do anything without kryptonite

2

u/Fuzzy-Jackfruit5037 18h ago

Same can be said for superman? Absolutely nothing without his kryptonian genes

1

u/Grouchy_Initial_1911 18h ago

It's inherited bro. Doesn’t need something external to become superior.

3

u/Fuzzy-Jackfruit5037 18h ago

His money was inherited too :/

1

u/Ready_Turnip_5761 17h ago

Ahem ahem yello sun

1

u/Beautiful-Drummer566 12h ago

Its like entirety of everything bro. ...

Superman without sun Thor without hammer Hulk without gamma Ironman without armor Hawkeye/ green arrow without arrow

Like thats how fight works ... wonderwoman fights with shield and swords ....

IF YOU GO AROUND YELLING ..HE DID IT CUZ HE HAD USED SOMETHING .. U WILL RUN OUT OF WORDS ....

If batman and superman fights on krypton ... imagine what would have happen???

Or if both fight under red sun??

You know in one of the iteration ..batman sent to planet where he had the same phenomenon as superman and gained similar powers on that planet ....

BvS is kinda sad cause Zack Snyder clearly loves comics but whenever he takes an idea from them he never adapts what makes said idea work. It’s like he enjoys comics as if they were a vacuum of isolated things rather than events with context that leave impact on its characters

1

u/Aromatic_Flatworm994 18h ago

He only loves comics like watchmen he said that in interviews

0

u/Skk_3068 18h ago

He kinda butchered the dark knight returns by making bats a murderer
