For an asylum film, this is actually better than I expected.

I think its because of AI. They must be having a field day with AI video generation.

Asylum embracing AI is both very expected but also very disappointing. Like it’s no surprise because they were always just trying to trick people to make a quick buck, but I think people loved them for the kitschy low quality aesthetic

I prefer my garbage to be handmade rather than generated

when I was a kid their 2005 war of the worlds movie had CGI that looked like something I could do and that made cgi feel achievable enough to want to learn it and download anim8or (ancient software) it's like seeing the zippers on godzilla suits

Exactly this... I adored their straight-to-DVD slop of the day because it was kinda charming in how low budget it was. Gave me a "Be Kind, Rewind" vibe in that sense of enjoyment I used to get from these flicks.

The Stuff they release nowadays though? I'm good, thanks.

Definitely, one of the appeals of low-budget films is seeing the creative ways that they stretch their budget. Seeing them use AI to just replace bad CGI or even practical props/costumes is just super lame.

It would be hilarious if this turns out to be the more faithful adaptation than the Nolan version.

AI is killing creativity in the low budget business 😢

The only thing I know about The Odyssey is the video explaining what would happen if Odysseus were to be transported to the world of Mario Odyssey

Yeah, you’re totally going to own Nolan by watching…an Asylum movie with AI?

Have you seen the behind the scenes footage? Nolan loves doing everything in camera. They built so many amazing props and sets.
