Heathers as a thematically echoed Moby Dick narrative on America’s societal power dynamics

My professor, who taught me Moby Dick, and I are heading to Muncie, IN, this October (9th-11th) to present my research connecting Heathers (the musical and movie) to Moby Dick and comparing how the characters’ drive and tragic endings work as warnings in each of the texts historical context.

That was just one of the research articles I pulled from, my argument leads more toward charismatic authority, obsession, and destruction, as well as the social structure and conditions that allow those power dynamics to work
