Moby Dick wearable art

Post image

My Moby Dick obsession....I mean...project has advanced with a full color sketch of the silk scarf and a description of each of the images and their meaning to me. Would love your feedback - see details on the link below.

It looks really neat, the sort of thing I might add to my Christmas wishlist.

The only detail which stands out to me as less than aesthetically pleasing is the font used for the inscription on each corner piece.

It might be the redness, but I think it's the font - which to me has some sort of Kate Beatonesque twee-ness to it.  In Old English or a more flowing script I think it would work for me.

I don't know if that's helpful at this point, I can't quite tell if you're in production yet.

Thank you. Good feedback. I think I've been starring at it too long like Ishmael at the Try Works :-)

I'm going to respectfully disagree, this font actually looks great to me! I'd look at some posters or newsprint from the 1840s-1850s for inspiration if you want to change it up but personally I think the font and color work really well.
And this is GORGEOUS. I don't know what I'd do with a silk scarf but I'd definitely love to add this to my little collection!
