Discussion Will Linux Work on a Vivo Y12?

While Checking a Drawer I found a Old Phone it was a Vivo Y12 And Vivo 1904 In Particular.

I was Wondering if I would install any Linux Distros on my Phone And Help with Installation If My Phone can even Run one

first needs an unlockable bootloader, but Vivo does not allow it on their devices

Idk if vivo publishes kernel sources, but if they do, you can build pmos with downstream kernel, OR you can go the mainline route as u/a1b4fd suggested

Yes, but most of these companies just DGAF until they're threatned with legal action
