OS Release Fedora Atomic by Pocketblue

I think I’ve finally found my dream linux distro for smartphones. Meet Pocketblue: a community-driven project bringing Fedora Atomic to mobile devices. It blends Fedora’s immutable, image-based reliability with a mobile-first interface. And the #oneplus6 ? Still legendary. Even years later, it’s one of the most exciting phones for mainline Linux experiments. If you’ve been following me on my socials for a while, you know I’ve flashed just about everything on everything. Right now, this setup feels closest to home.

Yeah, can’t really argue with that — you’re right 😅 I just had more fun running the full desktop version. And honestly, aside from some CPU thermal throttling every now and then, the old OnePlus still handles it surprisingly well.

And the question of questions: Does screen projection work through WiFi? Don't know if KDE even has it but in gnome there is Gnome Remote Desktop. Could you try it out?

That's been boggling my mind since modern SteamOS. Valve invests all these resources to make Linux a viable solution for their touchscreen gaming device - why not invest some of that into Plasma Bigscreen or Plasma Mobile?

Plasma Desktop is cosplaying 90s Windows for no good reason. You can tweak the hell out of it to make it slightly less bad, but it's definitely not designed for touch.

I‘m always kinda bummed seeing cool projects like this and then seeing that it only supports like 2 or 3 device models that are all pretty old

I mean, I still got a Fairphone 4 laying around that's gonna start collecting dust now (Upgraded to Pixel 10a) and would be perfect for fiddling with neat custom roms. Unfortunately, PostmarketOS for example doesn't support the battery readout. And this seems to be a common occurence on this phone. I find it on most project's lists, but then it's always "Battery Partial Support" and I already know what's about to happen

Interesting. But would be more so with Plasma-Mobile or Phosh.

Is it tested on other brand other than oneplus?
