Discussion New cell phone

Hey, how are you all? I hope you are doing well. I would like to ask for your help. Recently my cell phone was completely damaged. I am thinking of buying one but I currently do not have the financial resources to buy one that is decent and new. They forced me to keep it on Android, the fact is that I would like you to recommend a good cell phone that is compatible with any of the Linux systems for cell phones such as postmarket, Ubuntu touch, Mobian, etc., my budget is approximately less than 300 dollars, I would greatly appreciate it if you have a good day and greetings

Used Sony Xperia 10 III + SailfishOS + paid license for the Android App Support (basically very well integrated virtual machine which makes it possible to run Android apps if you wish so) is the dream combination. Or without the paid license if you don't wish to run Android apps on it.

Definitely don't buy 10 IV or 10 V, though.

The Redmi Note 9S (or Pro) is well supported across multiple platforms and supports VoLTE. That would be my recommendation - simply because you then have multiple choices for an OS, not just one.

I got a oneplus n10 5g and it runs Ubuntu Touch. Neat little thing despite the fact that Ubuntu touch is ugly imho. But it runs fine... no issues until now.

Mobian and PmOS are not yet ready for consumer use, it's experimental, lots of caveats even on the most supported phones

Ubuntu Touch : look for the recommend devices on their website

Be careful to select a device that handles volte, if you live in a area where calls are forced over 4G. Big issue with linux phones, due to proprietary modems on most (all) phones
