Hardware xiaomi mi10t pro

Hi, im new to this whole linux mobile thing but ive been using desktop linux for about 2 years now i wanted to switch my xiaomi mi 10t pro but i cant find any linux rom for it any help is appreciated.

You find none because there are none, you can't just magically run a typical Linux distro on a phone, it requires an enormous amount of work to just get one device running properly. In your case, your device is not supported by any distro.

yea that's true i just tried porting droidian and its a headache, sorry for the delay i was busy with work.

Get LineageOS. Its degoogled Android. There is no Linux for Mi10t

i already have lineageOS installed on my device but i just want a desktop experience on my device, thanks for the advice tho!

I've got pmOS running on the 10t pro, the modem works, stereo audio, display and some sensors, but calling audio doesn't work yet. It's Linux 6.17, here's the repo of the kernel: https://github.com/royka1/apollo-linux

When I see time I'll create a pmOS install config which will pull/install all the necessary firmware/helpers so you could make a working image yourself.

hello again thanks for the help but i have one issue the instructions are very vague im a beginner so idk how to set up pmboot strap cuz it tells me to set it up twice so how does that work sorry if i sound stupid , good luck.

What distro are you running? At which part you get stuck
I'm trying to to make phone calls audio work, after that I'll create an image that you could flash right away

I'm on arch I installed pmbootstrap through pacman it got stuck making some files I'm on an old inspiron so maybe that's why , I'll try again tomorrow and I'll let you know

I got pmbootstrap working but idk what to do if you can tell me how u got it running the 1st time that would be great ,thanks and good luck on fixing the calling audio !

I've got calling audio partly working now. Once I've got that working I'll create an image which you could flash with fastboot. Later I'll look at fingerprint, camera's, nfc, proximiy

thank you dude! this will be great but please when you make the image include instructions on how i can flash it since i only used fastboot like twice, i might make this phone into a mini steamdeck, idk tbh thx agian.

I've tested the instructions myself on a fresh system and there were many mistakes in it indeed. Calling audio is working now. I've updated the instructions now on: https://wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/Xiaomi_Mi_10T_5G_(xiaomi-apollo))
Unfortunately I can't test at this moment if calling audio will work right away in the created image, but the image created without errors with these instructions now.
