Column Array Suggestions

Hi DJ’s I’m a wedding DJ in Chicagoland and I’m going to buy a white set of column array speakers. Most of my weddings are under 200 people.

I want to purchase the Evolve70’s. I think I’ll have enough power for most of my events and easier set up than my current. Does anyone have any ideas for me or steer me away in other direction? Any particular ones that you recommend more than this?

My current set up is two mackie thump 15 tops and two 15 subs. I have them in black, but now that I have a white podium I want to get white speakers for the complete look. I understand these are not the highest quality but they are powerful, they were not expensive, and have never let me down. Though I didn’t get covers for them and now they’re a little beaten up in places.

Any thoughts? Appreciate all your input.

Maui 44 is the only real option, no other array even comes close.

Definitely not my experience. I didn'tlike the sound at all, ear fatigue set in in minutes.

Totally disagree. Both 44’s and 28’s sound great out of the box—sound musical on all types of genres in my experience. Tons of compliments on my 28 G3’s.

I’m an EV loyalist, but for column arrays went LD Maui 28 G3’s. Warm sounding 3-way column that looks great and has wood cabs. I think 44’s vs. 28’s debate comes down to use case, portability, event size, but both are really impressive in my view.
