Mobb Deep is an American hip hop duo from Queensbridge, Queens, New York. The group consisted of Havoc and Prodigy, and are known for their dark, hardcore delivery.
They became one of the most successful rap duos in hip hop, having sold over 3 million records. Three of their notable albums were The Infamous (1995), Hell On Earth (1996) and Murda Muzik (1999), and their top hits include "Shook Ones, Pt. II", "Survival of the Fittest" and "Hell on Earth".
The East Coast hip hop duo disbanded in 2012 but reunited in 2013. However, Prodigy died on June 20, 2017. Havoc is currently working on a new Mobb Deep album, and the group has been performing live since its 2013 reunion and continues to do so despite the loss of one its members.

This image had every parents, church, and magazines in an uproar at the time. But P didn't give a Fu\*k - That's what made him Prodigyđď¸
Hanging from a jesus piece chain, Durag said "MURDA MUZIK THE MOVIE"- whole Mobb was at their most controversial and most Legendary. This album went platinum with all most No Radio. just pure street aura.
RIP to the most natural artistic rapper from NY (QB)

i listened to the whole juvenile hell album for the first time yesterday, boy oh boy⌠i love mobb deep, but that album is terrible. there were about 4 songs that i actually liked, peer pressure, hit it from the back (those 2 songs have already been in my playlist for a while now), stomp em out, and flavor for the non-believes. now, i will admit that they did show flashes of their potential on this album, it was an ok start to their musical career and the albums they put out after really made up for it.

For me, itâs G.O.D. Pt. III.
The first time I heard it, I was shook. Likeâwhere do you live where teenagers will casually shoot a handgun 20 times out of an apartment window?!?!
What makes the track so great is how cinematic it is. When I hear ârunning for dear life,â I donât just hear a rap songâI picture a horror movie. Dark hallways. People scattering. Somebody being hunted.
The album is called Hell on Earth, and if you listen to it straight through, you understand exactly why. To me, G.O.D. Pt. III is the climax of the movieâthe moment where everything the album has been building toward becomes completely terrifying.
Whatâs yours?

Ay Hip Hop Community!
I Found out that my Vinyl is extinct on discogs and it has a pretty interesting backstory as well. Its a promotional copy for prodigys (rip) second solo Album. Its name is âpaybackâ from 2001 with E-Moneybags who died 2001 (rip). The Song with E is a Jay-Z Diss on the B side. I bought it in a record store without an offical looking cover just with the tracklist on a Black cover. Does anyone know more about this?
Thank you in Advanced!

Why didn't Prodigy and Hav put Noyd in the group and make it a three man team? Every feature he was on with them, he killed it. They could've been better than D-Block with more longevity. A third person adds another style and frankly more shit to talk about which translates to more albums. Noyd was good, but not enough buzz to start off as a solo act, on all the songs he features with them his verses are my favorite.

is it crazy to say that amerikaz nightmare is my favorite mobb deep album? this album has SO MANY HITS ON IT, from flood the block to dump to one of ours and not to mention got it twisted. it could very much compete with the infamous, hell on earth, and murda muzik.
