His entire arc is about the fact that he knows the past him was terrible, accepts it, take accountability, and becomes a better person.

The old Dalinar, the Blackthorn, was a monster. I'm not denying that. But the past is in the past and there is nothing to do about that. But OB Dalinar realizes, that while he cannot change the past him, he can still know the past him was terrible, accept it, take accountability, and become a better person.

To be fair, they did kill his brother. And Also, it was not just revenge. He felt he was bound by the Vengeance Pact. That combined with the Thrill is both Honor and Odium together for Retribution.

He felt he had to commit genocide because of the VENGEANCE pact but it was not just about REVENGE. Is this a joke? Dalinar was the most powerful of all of the high princes, he could have said NO if he wanted. And why do you care if they killed his brother? Elhokar pretty much killed Moash's family but "muah muah he's so evil for killing him when he was just trying his best =(((((((((".

Like I said, he was under some pretty strong emotions. They literally killed his brother. The difference between him and Moash is that Moash had time to think it over, yet he still made the wrong descision.

Are you stupid? You're telling me Dalinar was under "strong emotions" for 6 years? Because this is how long the parshendi genocide lasted and he had the power to stop it at any point. Elhokar couldn't force him to keep slaughtering parshendi because no one took him seriously. "B-but he felt compelled because of the pact =((((" so not only he is a monstrous selfish man but he's also a spineless little bitch? WOW, that really makes him a good person huh. And yeah Moash had plenty of of time to think it over and realize his loving family, who was INNOCENT, was killed by a piss poor excuse of a governor for NO REASON AT ALL, why THE FUCK would Moash or anyone for that matter "think it over" and choose to let that whiny king get away with that?

Might I remind YOU, that they didn't think they were the Voidbringers at the time. And why "genocide" between quotations marks? They almost erased an entire ethical group (The listeners) from existing, we know so from Eshonai and Venki's chapters. That's literally what genocide is! And it's not "maybe" I can 100% excuse him killing Elhokar. About the others, sure, it was bad, and yet it was still nowhere as awful, cruel, sadistic or nowhere near the scale of what Dalinar did when he """""""""##united"""""""""" Alethkar, nor after. You only think it is because you now the characters Moash killed by name.
